Wyse Technology Names Marketing Expert Tarkan Maner as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development

Accomplished Veteran of Computer Associates, IBM and Sterling Commerce Joins Executive Team

San Jose, CA – 2005/05/16 - Wyse Technology, the domain experts in network-centric computing, today announced that Tarkan Maner has joined Wyse as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development. In this role, Maner will oversee and direct all strategic marketing and business development activities for Wyse worldwide, including product management, brand development and management, direct marketing, partner and channel marketing, advertising and public relations. In addition, Maner will be responsible for creating new business opportunities and growth for Wyse through strategic business alliances and OEM initiatives.

Prior to joining Wyse, Maner led marketing, product management, business development and strategic business alliance initiatives at Computer Associates, where he was instrumental in developing the company's corporate vision, strategy and brand. Earlier, at IBM, Maner led global product marketing for the company's Internet Security, Network Computing and eCommerce divisions. While with IBM, Maner played a central role in delivering these fledgling organizations from incubation to multi-billion dollar global operation status with solid brand equity and market share for IBM. Before this, Maner held senior product marketing roles in the eCommerce Software Group at Sterling Software and later, Sterling Commerce.

Maner graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a B.S. degree in Engineering Management, received his MBA degree from Midwestern State University, and the invitation-only Executive Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
